Hello dearest loyal readers. I realize it's been sometime since I, Sam, last posted something on our wonderful blog but seeing as I'm about to go back to school I figured it's time. I find it ironic that on the day I have to drive back to Orlando to attend my lovely college my dearest Iris will be returning to Key West. If I'm not mistaken we'll be missing each other by less than an hour. *Sigh* Thus is the way of the world.
Tomorrow I return to a world where my parents are not around and I have unlimited curfews and, starting, this year I will have a kitchen!! And along with that kitchen also comes my very own bedroom!
Once I return to the mainland, the blogging should really take off because you'll begin to see the differences between living on an island and living in a city.
I must return to my packing for I have much to do and very little time. Not only do I need to finish packing but I also must have my final dinner with my parents and drop by a local dessert restaurant, Better than Sex, and enjoy my time with my friends there. I've taken to spending my evenings at their bar listening to the funny quips and quotations and hanging out with the bartenders and waitresses. I have vastly underestimated the benefits of being a regular at a restaurant. Strange as this may sound I brought my parents to BTS a few days ago so that they could also enjoy the fabulous desserts they serve. While BTS does have sexual undertones, which makes it awkward to bring your parents there, they do make an amazing crème brûlée. The best part of the night wasn't the amazing creamy delicious, delectable meal nor my parents' reaction to the restaurant. No the best part of the night was walking in and having every single employee there greet me by my first name and then hearing the musician start playing my favorite song, Irving Berlin's Blue Skies. This is just one of the reasons why I love island living ever so much.
Well, now I really must pack. Adieu, fair readers. Happy trails.
Two girls living the island life. Known each other since the diaper days, now living their lives at their separate colleges and dealing with the rocks Life throws their way.

Iris and her movies.
So The Notebook was on tv today and I of course watched it. I found it a little bit ironic that it was on since I think that movie is my life and since the night I had on Tuesday had a lot to do with why I think The Notebook is my life. There are several parts in the movie that are m fav and that I can relate to sooooo much. But my point is that I find it funny that sometimes movies can remind you of your life and teach you things about your life that you never knew. As I write this I'm listening to P.S. I Love You plaing on my tv. It's a great movie for those of you who haven't seen it. I always cry towards the end even if im in a happy mood or content for the moment. It's CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
