The True Effects of Becoming an Aunt

What do you want to be when you grow up?  We've all heard that question a hundred times while growing up.  As we get older, the question carries more meaning, more stress, and more reality.  In high school I played with Dude Ranch owner, Coast Guard member and Marketing Executive.  In college I attempted Accountant, Engineer and Teacher.  Now I'm trying to become a Nurse.  The truth is, though, that the only thing I'm sure I want to be someday doesn't require a degree.  It doesn't require a class or a good GPA, it doesn't need an exam score or a certification, it is far simpler a title and far more difficult to master.  I want, simply, to be a mother.
A title as old as time and far more important than that of King or Emperor.  To put it simply, without mothers, there would be no new generation.  There are few titles more natural and meaningful than Parent or Mother or Father.  They signify that you have created life with another person, that you have contributed to a new generation and have enabled our species to continue on into the future.  To become a parent is a truly magical thing and after having seen how it changed my sister, for the best, I look forward to the day when I may gain the title as well.
